Catherine Ohmstede, MD, is committed to providing quality medical care not just for her patients, but for the entire Charlotte community. She gives annual physicals to homeless children at A Child's Place, is a past president of the Charlotte Pediatric Society, and has participated in fundraising efforts for Pat's Place and the Ronald McDonald House, organizations also devoted to quality care for children.
Dr. Ohmstede believes that quality care should start at birth. She has a special fondness for newborn care, and works to build lasting relationships with parents and caregivers from a child's first visit.
A native of Pensacola, Florida, Dr. Ohmstede first moved to the Charlotte area when she attended Davidson College. After medical school at the University of Florida, and an internship and residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Ohmstede returned to Charlotte to join Novant Health Dilworth Pediatrics.
When she is not working, Dr. Ohmstede enjoys spending time with her husband, David, a pediatric cardiologist. They like reading, music and exploring the outdoors with their two young children.
